Abstract

Compressed air drier, ventilator and residue ejector is esp. applicable to flat bottomed silos and comprises, in the case of a silo of rectangular plan, a series of uniformly spaced parallel ducts (6) of trapezoidal section, parallel to and a short distance from the silo floor (1a). Each duct has a louvred (9) base (6) for air egress and extends between the silo walls and connects to a central air feed duct. The larger parallel side (6a) of a duct section faces the floor and is inclined to the horizontal so that the lower section corners form tapered air passages tending to increase the air flow speed.
