Abstract

Title cpds are of formula where A is -CH2-CH2-, -CH2-CH2-CH2-, or -CH2-O-CH2-; B is -CH2-CHI-, -CH2, CH2, CH- or R is alkyl. The cpds are prepd by reaction of the bis(2-carboxychromon-5-gyloxy) alkanes and -2-oxapropane, with 7-aminoalkyltheophyllines in a liquid solvent. They have a longer prophylactic action against bronchospasm than the sodium salts, and are used at a daily does of 40 to 400 mg, in dosage units pref contg 20 to 60 mg of the salt.
