Abstract

Cpds. of formula: and their acid-addn. salts where n is 0 or 1; R is alkylamino (C1-C4) or pyrrolidino, have analgesic, antiinflammatory, hypotensive, anticholinergic, bronchodilator, antiulcer, spasmolytic and diuretic activity. The LD50 orally in mice is 1100-1550 mg./kg. except for I (n = 1; R = pyrrolidino) which is non-toxic at 2 g./kg. orally. Clinical dose is 25-300 mg. orally 1-5 times daily; 1 or 2 suppositories daily each contg. 25-200 mg.; 1-100 mg. by injection once or twice daily.
