Abstract

A reducing gas contg. principally CO and H2 is produced by reforming a hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon-contg. gas with CO2 in the presence of a catalyst comprising a refractory alumina, mullite, fire-clay or magnesia support impregnated with Cu, Cu oxide or Cu nitrate, or coated with a thin film of these agents on its surface and inside its pores.
