Abstract

The reinforcement is 100% cotton fabric, woven or unwoven and dyed with a product contg. no copper or manganese, the fabric is coated on one side only, with hot rubber soln. and the rubbered side is stuck to the back face of a thin sheet of leather which has first been tanned and dyed. Very thin leather e.g. 1.5 mm, can be given good strength whilst retaining a soft, supple, velvety texture free from cracks and wrinkles, even in cold conditions for making fancy goods, luggage, upholstery for furniture etc.
