932,577. Attaching upholstery. ROLLSROYCE Ltd. April 6, 1962 [April 13, 1961], No. 13408/61. Class 52 (4). A vehicle seat 10 has a frame 13 to which are secured channel devices 14 into which are received the edges of leather upholstery sheets 31, 32, the sheet 31 having stitched thereto a reinforcing strip 36 of celluloid, fibre or cord and the sheet 32 having stitched thereto a leather piping strip 33. A sheet 30 of hessian disposed inwardly of sheets 31, 32 has a piped edge portion 40 which holds in position a cord 41 and is forced or slid into a channel portion 24, the cord 41 being then tensioned and made fast by means not shown or the ends of the cord are fastened together by knotting.
