Low density chipboard is composed of wood chips agglomerated with a cured binder mixt., the binder mixt. forming 15-30 pref. 16-20 wt.% of the board. Prod. has a low density i.e. 85% of ordinary chipboard, while retaining the other characteristics of ordinary chipboard e.g. strength and dimensional stability.
