A cellulosic board composed of cellulosic raw material and a binder other than an isocyanate is characterized by the incorporation of an inorganic fluoride as a pesticide in an intermediate layer of the board between the top and bottom, layers thereof. The specific fluoride employed is potassium hydrogen fluoride. The binder employed may be a neutral or acid-setting phenolformaldehyde resin. A conventional binder such as an alkaline phenolic resin may be used to bind together the chips which have not been treated with the binder.
