Abstract

An electrographic product specif. for preparing an ink receptive image for a lithographic plate, comprises a coat layer contg. a photoconductor and a hardened anti-adhesive organopolysiloxane surface on which the org. gps. and the Si atoms are in the ratio of 1.9-2.1. The prod. allows the use of electrophotographic processes and electrostatic toners for preparing lithographic plates in dry processes where the drawbacks encountered in prior art, e.g. rubbing, washing, use of masks etc, are obviated. The plate has good ink receptivity and no wetting agents are used.
