Abstract

New mouldable copper nickel alloy contains 4-45% Ni, optionally =0.5% Co, =3% Fe, =3% Mn, 0.05% C and 0.05-0.6% (pref. 0.05-0.15)% Ti the rest being Cu plus impurities. All or part of the Ti can be replaced by Nb and/or Ta. The alloy can be used in fabricating profiled sections and tube from sheet.
