Abstract

The bandage assembly consists of a pliable, plastic protecting sheet to which six sections of an adhesive strip are stuck, each section is supplied with a felt washer. The hole in the latter is greater than the dia. of a concentric hole pierced through the adhesive strip and the hole in the washer is sufficiently large to rest on the skin of the user all round the corn, while the hole in the adhesive strip allows of the aeration of the sore, whilst ensuring its protection. The felt strip passes before a post where small, central holes are punched and then to a cutting post where washers are cut around the holes. The washers are then applied to the adhesive strip which circulates in counter-current near the felt strip. The adhesive strip is then punched with a small hole at the centre of the washer, a protective strip is pressed against the adhesive strip, by passage between two rollers and the bandages are finally cut to the required length.
