Abstract
The finely divided or colloidal mercury is removed by passing live steam into the soln. or by means of steam heated tubes, or by single or multistage flash distillation. Esp. useful for removing traces of mercury from exhausted brine solns. derived from electrolysis cells with mercury cathodes. The mercury is recovered efficiently at low cost.
