Abstract
Electrochemical cells which can be primed by addition of water, in which the active components of the electrolyte are physically sepd. from the laminated or flaky anode structure on a microscopic scale compared with the microscopic scale of sepn. in electrode dehydrated gels in which the electrolyte is prepd. as a solid by co-fusion and the flaky anode is sepd. by a solid separator from the soldi electrolyte. The separator is a plastic layer, e.g. PVC with a layer of Al or a polyamide or Saran (RTM). The anode is composed of small platelets of zinc sepd. by separator and solid electrolyte layers.
