Title cpds. of gen formula (I):- where R1 and R2 are same or different H, Cl, perchloromethyl or -ethyl, trichlorovinyl, trifluoromethyl or phenyl mono- or poly substd. with Cl or CF3; R3 = opt. branched alkyl (1-12C) or cycloalkyl (5-6C) both opt. mono- or poly substd. with alkoxy (1-3C), alkylmercapto, nitrile, alkoxycarbonyl or phenyl, opt. substd. with one or more F, Cl, alkyl(1-3C) or CF3; R4= as in R3 or also H, phenyl opt. mono- or poly-substd. with F, Cl, alkyl (1-3C) or CF3; or naphthyl, are prepd. by reacting cpds. (II):- R1-CCl2-N=CCl-R2 with cpds. (III):- at pref. 10-150 degrees C R4-C=CH-COOR3 in a mole ratio (II):(III)=1:1 to 1:4 in inert solvent and in the presence of an acid-accepting agent.
