Abstract

Device is partic, for discharging a sterilising liq., e.g. Javel water, into a liq. e.g. water. The appts. comprises a first tank for receiving the raw water through a tap and a siphon which operates when the water reaches a certain level. The siphon tube ends in a water-jet pump, the outlet of which discharges directly into a reservoir which holds the water to be treated. The pump draws a definite quantity to the treatment liq. from a constant level tank and a dip tube and discharges it into the reservoir. This addition is effected in proportions that can be adjusted as desired, in a simple and rapid manner. The tap for the raw water controls the frequency with which the siphon operates and an adjustment can also be made to the relative levels in the constant level tank and in the recipient holding the dip tube.
