Abstract

Composite sheet or strip comprising a deformable support of metal or plastic covered with adhesive paper covered in turn by a protective plastic film, pref. vinyl plastic. Pref. the paper/plastic combination is designed to tear like paper for easy removal of both from a deformity on the substrate. Esp. for making labels by stamping characters in relief which can be exposed by removing the paper/film from their crowns and can be painted before stripping the rest of the cover from the background.
