Abstract
Corrosion resistant, glass coated metal article, such as a wire or cover for an electrical component, is produced by coating the metal article with a protective layer of Cu, Ni, Cr and/or Au, before applying the glass layer. The protective layer gives glass coated metal articles with a much better corrosion resistance.
