Abstract
Ferrous substrate is given a protective coating. The metallic coating consists of 5-24% aluminium, less than 0.2% lead and the rest is zinc. Protective coating of this type are applied to the surfaces of ferrous alloys. The lead proportion is of critical importance is determining the ensuing corrosion resistance.
