Abstract

Solid antiviral comp. comprises a cpd. selected from elenolic acid, elenolide, alkali(ne earth) metal elenolic salts, Zn or Fe elenolates, 1-6C alkyl acetals-, 1-6C alkyl(oic) esters of elenolic acid, with a solid inert diluent and a buffer salt to give comp. a pH 5.5-7.7, pref. 6.2-6.7. comp. is active against such viruses as adenovirus 1,2 and 3; polio 1,2 and 3; para-influenza, pseudorabies, etc.
