Abstract

Covering is of the type having as a surface a sheet of natural or synthetic textile fixed to a support such as a jute canvas by a binder such as PVC, in which the textile surface is fixed by a layer of expanded plastic constituting the support, the binder and the underlay. The plastic material e.g. PVC may be applied in liquid form at its gelation temp. and expanded into the textile surface. An underlayer may be placed beneath the plastic foam, pref. before the material has solidified. The material forms an integral structure of great flexibility.
