Abstract

Cloth consists of four layers which comprise, in top to bottom order, a layer of a water-permeable textile, a layer able to take up or deliver water, acting as a water reservoir, a water-impermeable layer and a base layer, which is bonded to the top layer at the sides of the laminate. Pref. the top layer is a cotton double-layer fabric, the water-holding layer is a foamed material, particularly rubber, the water-impermeable layer is a plastic or rubber film and the base layer is a textile, particularly a roughened cotton.
