Abstract

A fluid tight joint is formed between the cylindrical secondary heat exchange tubes and the primary fluid channel network partitions. The tubes carry a series of dual ferrules separated by a plastically deformable cylindrical membrane filled with fluid under pressure to expand the membrane into corresponding grooves in the channel partitions creating a watertight seal able to dampen vibrations and expansion strains set up between partitions and tubes thus increasing the operational and maintenance free life of the device.
