Abstract

Two endless filtration screens supplied separately with pulp are arranged one above the other, and pass together sinuously around pref. three evacuated perforated presser rollers with the pulp compressed between them so that a suction is applied alternately to each side of the pulp layer. Pref. much of the fluid is removed from the pulp upstream of the presser rollers, and pref. the wet paper is transferred to a drying felt downstream of the presser rollers. The machine is compact and economic.
