Abstract

The textile material is rolled onto a hollow perforated roller flanged at the extremities, the roller is introduced to a pressure chamber where it is attached to a supply pipe system for the introduction and circulation of dye liquor which passes under pressure into the inside of the roller from the hot dye bath through the perforations and through the role of textile while simultaneously the roller is rotated. The distance between the perforations should be is not >30mm and pref. 15 mm. The device may be used also for pre- and after treatment of the fabric, the entire fabric processing sequence being carried out on the same roller. Natural and synthetic fibres are suitably treated as well as their blends. The main advantage is that of increased production rate and more important a lowering in the cloth:liquor bath ratio, viz. 1:5.
