Abstract
Porcelain enamelled article based on aluminium or an alloy thereof comprises a sheet of heat treatable core alloy coated on one or both sides with a layer of about .002 ins. of a second alloy of Al - pref. contg. 15-15% Si and >=2% of other alloying additions or impurities and having Mg content 0.1% and Cu 0.4%. The porcelain enamel may be brightly coloured. It is practically free from delamination. Any surface not coated with enamel must be given a protective coat of another material. The porcelain enamel is any normal enamelling compsn.
