Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the alkali resistance of a Zn or Zn-Mg alloy plating layer and the corrosion resistance after coating by covering the plating layer formed on a base metal with a Zn-Ti alloy plating layer having a prescribed compsn. CONSTITUTION:This Zn alloy double-plated product is obtd. by forming a Zn or Zn-Mg alloy plating layer on a base metal and covering the plating layer with a Zn-Ti alloy plating layer. The Zn-Mg alloy contains <=40% Mg and the Zn-Ti alloy contains 0.5-20% Ti.
