Abstract
A transfer plate for use in the production of printed circuits comprises a metal plate having the negative circuit pattern formed on a surface thereof by a glass material. Preferably the glass is bonded into etched depressions in one surface of a ferrochromium alloy plate; the glass to metal bond may be effected by applying pressure to viscous glass, or by the use of glass seals obtained from glass beads brought to fluidity with the addition of a metallic oxide sealable to both glass and metal. The surface of the plate is then smoothed.
