Abstract

Products for the care of hair, such as hair lotion, product for hair growth, shampoo and the like based on conventional ingredients, containing an extract of olive stones, apple pips, Flossostemon bruguieri, tubers of Pueraria mirifica and/or corn grains. The extracts are obtained by conventional extraction by using appropriate extraction products. The products for the care of hair have a sustained action enhancing the growth of hair.

Hair Conditioners

The invention relates to hair care agents such as hair lotion, hair growth agents, hair cleansers and the like.

Hair conditioners such as hair lotion, hair growth agents, hair cleansers and the like for the treatment of the hair and scalp (scalp) have long been known and are present in infinite amounts in exchange television compositions (cf. e.g. Taschenbuch der modernen Parfumerie und Kosmetik, Hugo Jenistyn, 3 Auf., 3 Auf. . Despite several attempts, the hair growth-promoting effect of these substances to date has not been satisfactory. Surprisingly, it has now been found that these substances can have a good hair growth-promoting effect as long as certain extracts are added to them.

The invention therefore relates to hair care products, such as hair lotion, hair growth agents, hair cleansers and the corresponding qualities known from the claim.

The extracts used according to the invention are conventionally prepared by extraction from olive seeds, pomegranate seeds (Punica granatum), Glossostemon bruguier or tubers of Pueraria mirifica (a species of leguminose). In this case, for example, defatted or preserved olive seeds are extracted with suitable organic solvents, such as acetone, methanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, glacial acetic acid or mixtures thereof, and a liquid extract, thick extract or dry extract is prepared therefrom. These are then added to the hair conditioner. Usually, the olive seeds added by way of example are ground before extraction.

To prepare the hair lotion, said plant parts, such as, for example, ground olive seeds, are preferably extracted with isopropanol or ethanol so that, after removal of the excess extractant, liquid extracts are obtained which can be added immediately to the hair lotion ingredients. Usually, such hair lotion contains other scalp or hair care ingredients known to a person skilled in the art.

In the preparation of the hair lotion according to the invention, 10 to 25% by volume and in particular 20% by volume of liquid extract are most often used. The dry matter content of the liquid extract generally rises to about 6%. Thus, when a thick extract or a dry extract is used, the dry extract is added in smaller amounts, such as 4-6%, when preparing hair lotion. It should be mentioned in this connection that a liquid extract is usually understood as an extract in which the ratio of the extractable material to the extractant increases by 1: 1.

The hair conditioners of the invention have surprisingly proven to be very effective in promoting hair growth. This is illustrated by the following example.

Example

A liquid extract was prepared in which ground olive seeds were extracted with isopropanol. The 12 kg liquid extract (1: 1) obtained after removal of excess isopropanol, 200 g of menthol, 200 g of pantothenyl alcohol and 800 g of perfume were then supplemented with 50% by volume of isopropanol to 100 liters. The hair lotion thus prepared was then tested on 20 persons (15 women and 5 men of different ages).

It was found that the described hair lotion could be characterized as very well suited. It turned out that at a constant value of 24 h, the hair water showed one ++ positive reaction in one case, one + positive reaction in four cases, one mildly positive reaction in four other cases, and no reaction occurred in the remaining 10 cases. The reactions were inherently deteriorating in the 48 h test 3,71224, with only one case of double, one case of single, and two cases of mildly positive reactions. The remaining 15 patients were completely negative at 48 standard values.

This result makes the hair lotion excellent because a certain irritation reaction is desirable. This hair lotion according to the invention is thus well suited as a hair conditioner compared to numerous commercial cosmetics.

In addition, it was found that the hair of several subjects not only strengthened and the ongoing hair loss did not stop, but a new hair-down, which foretells new hair growth, also appeared. Additional experiments performed on the basis of these findings prove that the hair lotion according to the invention has an excellent growth-promoting effect.
