Claims (8)
1. Förfarande för katalytisk oxidation av svaveldioxid i flera steg genom att leda heta svaveldioxidhaltiga gaser i följd genom flera fasta katalysatorbäddar och avkyla gaserna mellan stegen, varvid de heta svaveldioxidhaltiga gaserna leds i ät-minstone det första steget under den fasta katalysatorbädden och avlägsnas ovanför denna, kännetecknat av att stoft avskiljt frän de svaveldioxidhaltiga gaserna som letts under den fasta katalysatorbädden avlägsnas frän ett utryimne under den fasta katalysatorbädden.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat av att för rening av den fasta katalysatorbädden leds därigenom intermittent nedifrän uppät svaveldioxidhaltiga gaser eller annan gas säsom luft.
3. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, kännetecknat av att de under den fasta katalysatorbädden ledda svaveldioxidhaltiga gaserna bringas att stöta mot en styr-platta eller -plattor för dispergering och jämn distribuering av gassträranen over katalysatorbädden.
4. Anordning för oxidering av svaveldioxid omfattande en kam-mare (1, 1') försedd med atminstone ett inlopp (2, 2') och utlopp (3, 3') för gas, vilken kammare omfattar en eller flera i de svaveldioxidhaltiga gasernas strömningsriktning efterföl-jande i stort sett horisontella rostar (4) med en fast kata-lysatorbädd (5) bestäende av partiklar pä desamma, varvid det mellan varje katalysatorbädd (5) finns en avkylningsanordning (6), och i vilken gasinloppet (2) befinner sig nedanför ätminsto-ne den första katalysatorbädden (5), kännetecknad av att i kammaren (1) finns en öppningsbar lucka (10) nedanför rosten (4) för avlägsning av frän gaserna avkiljt stoft som samlat sig pä kammarens (1) botten (11).
5. Anordning enligt patentkravet 4, kännetecknad av en strömningsdispergerare (7) anordnad framför gasinloppet (2) . Il
