CONSTA DE: UNA CAPA EXTERNA CILINDRICA (10) DE UNA ALEACION DE ZIRCONIO, QUE TIENE UNA ELEVADA RESISTENCIA A LA CORROSION ACUOSA, ELEGIDA ENTRE ZIRCALOY-2 Y ZIRCALOY-3; Y UNA CAPA CILINDRICA INTERNA (20) COMPUESTA POR 0,1-0,3% EN PESO DE ESTAÑO, 0,05 A 0,2% EN PESO DE HIERRO, 0,05 A 0,4% DE NIOBIO, 0,03 A 0,1% EN PESO DE UN ELEMENTO ELEGIDO ENTRE NIQUEL, CROMO Y COMBINACIONES DE LOS MISMOS, DE MANERA QUE SE CUMPLA QUE EL CONTENIDO EN PESO DE HIERRO MAS NIQUEL MAS CROMO NO SUPERE EL 0,25%, 300 A 1.200 PPM DE OXIGENO, Y EL RESTO ZIRCONIO, SIENDO LA RESISTENCIA A LA CORROSION ACUOSA EQUIVALENTE A LA DE LA CAPA (10).
