PREPARACION DE UNA COMPOSICION FARMACEUTICA QUE CONTIENE CLAUSENAMIDA, DE FORMULA (I) QUE CORRESPONDE A TODO EL TIPO DE COMPUESTOS. SE OBTIENE POR EXTRACCION DE HOJAS DE <CLAUSENA LANSIUM> (RUTACEAE) SEGUIDA DE PURIFICACION, PUDIENDO PRODUCIRSE COMPUESTOS DE REDUCCION. COMPUESTOS PREFERIDOS DE ACUERDO CON LA FORMULA (I) SON AQUELLOS EN LOS QUE R F METILO, R1 ES H, ALQUILO, ACILO; R2 ES H; R3 ES HIDROXI, ALQUILOXI, ACILOXI O JUNTO CON R1 O R4 ES UN ENLACE QUIMICO; R5 Y R6 SON HIDROGENOS. LA CLAUSENAMIDA Y CIERTOS DERIVADOS SUYOS SE EMPLEAN COMO PROTECTORES DE LA HIPOXIA Y ANTIAMNESICOS. AUN A DOSIS ELEVADAS NO PRODUCE NINGUN CAMBIO SIGNIFICATIVO DEL COMPORTAMIENTO Y LA TOXICIDAD AGUDA ES MUY BAJA.
