CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE REDUCCION 1,1-DIFENIL-3-N-ISOBUTILCARBAMOIL-1-PROPANOL, DE FORMULA (II), POR TRATAMIENTO CON UN HIDRURO METALICO, TAL COMO HIDRURO DE LITIO Y ALUMINIO, EN UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO INERTE, DE TIPO ETER, COMO TETRAHIDROFURANO, DIOXANO O ETER ETILICO, A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE LA AMBIENTE Y 100JC. EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE SEPARA DE LA MEZCLA DE REACCION Y SE PURIFICA SIGUIENDO METODOS CONVENCIONALES. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS POR SU ACTIVIDAD ANTIARRITMICA.
