EN UNA COLUMNA PRIMARIA QUE FUNCIONA A PRESION DE 2,8 A 14 KG/CM SE INTRODUCE AIRE DE ALIMENTACION ENFRIADO Y LIMPIO (PASANDOLO A TRAVES DE UN INTERCAMBIADOR DE CALOR DE SENTIDO INVERSO Y DE UNA TRAMPA DE GEL, PARA ENFRIAR Y LIMPIAR), DONDE SE SEPARAN UN VAPOR RICO EN NITROGENO Y UN LIQUIDO ENRIQUECIDO EN OXIGENO. SE RECUPERA UNA PORCION DE VAPOR EN FORMA DE NITROGENO GASEOSO A PRESION ELEVADA, CONDENSANDO PARTE DE ESTE PARA PROPORCIONAR LIQUIDO DE REFLUJO A LA COLUMNA PRIMARIA. SE INTRODUCE UNA PORCION DE LIQUIDO EN LA COLUMNA SECUNDARIA QUE FUNCIONA A PRESION DE 1,05 A 5,25 KG/CM. SE VUELVEN A SEPARAR DOS FRACCIONES Y SE TOMA UNA PORCION DE FRACCION LIQUIDA QUE SE RETIRA.
