CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE CLORO- O BROMOACETAMIDAS DE FORMULA X-CH2-CO-NH-R EN LA QUE X ES CLORO O BROMO Y R TIENE EL MISMO SIGNIFICADO QUE EN LA FORMULA ANTERIOR CON YODUROS DE METAL ALCALINO. LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO EN PRESENCIA DE UN DILUYENTE INERTE COMO ACETONITRILO EN PRESENCIA DE UN ACEPTOR DE ACIDO TAL COMO TRIETILAMINA A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE C20JC Y 100JC. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES EN AGRICULTURA COMO BACTERICIDAS EN LA PROTECCION DE LAS PLANTAS PARA COMBATIR ENFERMEDADES DE LOS CEREALES.
