PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA ELIMINACION DE LOS MERCAPTANOS CONTENIDOS EN GASES.CONSISTE EN QUE UN ACEITE HIDROCARBONADO SE REGENERA POR OXIDACION EN ACIDOS SULFURICOS DE LOS MERCAPTANOS QUE CONTIENE. ESTE SE REALIZA A LA TEMPERATURA Y PRESION DE ABSORCION A TRAVES DE UN OXIDANTE EN MEDIO ACUOSO, RECICLANDOSE EL ACEITE REGENERADO TRAS SEPARACION DE LA FASE ACUOSA QUE CONTIENE LOS ACIDOS SULFONICOS EN SOLUCION. EL OXIDANTE ES AGUA OXIGENADA O UN PERACIDO QUE ES EL ACIDO PERFORMICO. EL PERACIDO SE FORMA IN SITU A PARTIR DE UN ACIDO CARBOXILICO Y DEL AGUA OXIGENADA.LA RELACION MOLAR ACIDO CARBOXILICO/AGUA OXIGENADA VARIA ENTRE 0,1/1 Y 1/1. LOS EFLUENTES ACUOSOS SE RECICLAN DE LA REACCION TRAS SU REAJUSTE EN CONCENTRACION POR ADICION DE AGUA OXIGENADA Y DE ACIDO CARBOXILICO. LA TEMPERATURA VARIA ENTRE 20 Y 60JC Y LA PRESION ENTRE 5 Y 10 MPA. EL ACEITE ES ACEITE SPINDEL O ACEITE 100 NS.
