PROCEDIMIENTO PARA OBTENER UN REVESTIMIENTO TRANSPARENTE SOBRE UNA HOJA DE VIDRIO, CAPAZ DE GARANTIZAR UNA PROTECCION RESISTENTE AL DESGARRAMIENTO EN CASO DE ROTURA DE DICHO VIDRIO. COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, SE PREPARA ADECUADAMENTE LA SUPERFICIE DE LA HOJA DE VIDRIO; SEGUNDA, SOBRE DICHA SUPERFICIE SE APLICA DIRECTAMENTE UNA SOLUCION DE POLIMEROS O PREPOLIMEROS DE POLIURETANO DISUELTOS EN MONOMEROS ACRILICOS O EN MEZCLAS DE MONOMEROS ACRILICOS O EN MEZCLAS DE MONOMEROS ACRILICOS O EN UNA SOLUCION DE PREPOLIMEROS ACRILICOS EN MONOMEROS ACRILICOS; Y POR ULTIMO, LA CAPA APLICADA SOBRE LA HOJA DE VIDRIO SE SOMETE A UNA FUERTE ACCION CATALITICA CAPAZ DE FAVORECER LA POLIMERIZACION EN UN SISTEMA DE RETICULO DE POLIMERO INTERPENETRANTE.
