SE IMPREGNAN LAS PARTICULAS DE UN SOPORTE REFRACTARIO CON UN COMPUESTO DE PLATINO, PASANDOSE A EFECTUAR EL SECADO Y CALCINADO DE AQUELLAS PARTICULAS QUE CONTIENEN PLATINO. PARALELAMENTE SE IMPREGNAN PARTICULAS SEPARADAS DE UN SOPORTE REFRACTARIO CON UN COMPUESTO DE IRIDIO; SECANDOSE Y CALCINANDOSE POSTERIORMENTE. A CONTINUACION SE MEZCLAN LAS PARTICULAS QUE CONTIENEN PLATINO CON LAS QUE CONTIENEN IRIDIO. COMO SOPORTE REFRACTARIO PUEDE EMPLEARSE UN OXIDO INORGANICO, PREFERENTEMENTE ALUMINA. LOS CATALIZADORES OBTENIDOS SON DE EMPLEO EN OPERACIONES DE REFORMADO PARA MEJORAR LAS CARACTERISTICAS ANTIDETONANTES DE FRACCIONES HIDROCARBONADAS.
