PROCEDIMIENTO DE PREPARACION DE SOLUCIONES ACUOSAS CONCENTRADAS DE POLI(ACIDOS ACRILICOS) DE PESOS MOLECULARES BAJOS O DE SUS SALES. CONSISTE EN POLIMERIZAR EL ACIDO ACRILICO EN SOLUCION ACUOSA QUE CONTIENE UN INICIADOR DE POLIMERIZACION Y PROCEDER EVENTUALMENTE A UNA NEUTRALIZACION, CARACTERIZADO POR EL HECHO DE QUE LA POLIMERIZACION SE PRODUCE EN PRESENCIA DE ACIDO ACETICO Y DE ACIDO PROPIONICO. ENTRE LOS INICIADORES DE LA POLIMERIZACION SE ENCUENTRAN EL AGUA OXIGENADA, UN PEROXIDO ORGANICO O UN HIDROPEROXIDO. LAS SALES DE POLI(ACIDO ACRILICO) SE OBTIENEN NEUTRALIZACION EL ACIDO HASTA EL PUNTO DE EQUIVALENCIA (PH=8,5) CON AYUDA DE UNA SOLUCION DE UN AGENTE BASICO, TAL COMO LA SOSA, LA POTASA O EL AMONIACO.
