SE AJUSTA SU PH A VALORES ENTRE 2,0 A 9,0 PREFERENTEMENTE ENTRE 4,0 A 5,0 Y SE TRATA CON PEROXIDO DE HIDROGENO EN UNA CANTIDAD DE UN 5 POR 100 A UN 40 POR 100, PREFERENTEMENTE DE UN 15 A UN 30 POR 100 DE LA NECESARIA PARA LA OXIDACION COMPLETA DE LA MATERIA CORRESPONDIENTE A LA DEMANDA QUIMICA DE OXIGENO TOTAL.
