Abstract

Un método de preparación de compuestos heterocíclicos derivados de hidantoína de fórmula (I) **(fórmula)** en la que Z es hidrógeno o alcohilo; uno de Z(sup, 1) y Z(sup, 2) está representado por el grupo -CH(sub, 2)-X-X(sup, 1)-X(sup, 2)- ; y el otro de Z(sup, 1) y Z(sup, 2) está representado por el grupo -Y-Y(sup, 1)-Y(sup, 2)-Y(sup, 3)-; caracterizado por el hecho de que se reduce un ácido, éster, haluro de ácido, anhídrido de ácido o aldehido correspondiente con un agente reductor apropiado; y, según se desee o sea necesario, se elimina cualquier grupo protector y opcionalmente se interconvierte el compuesto de la fórmula (I) así obtenido en cualquier otro(a) sal, ácido, éster, amida, alcohol o cetona de fórmula (I).
