Abstract

Un aparato de separación de fluidos que comprende un recipiente, un haz de fibras huecas semipermeables para efectuar la separación de luidos en el recipiente, teniendo dicho haz un diámetro de al menos aproximadamente 0,02 metros y un factor de aglomeración de al menos aproximadamente 40% , un orificio de entrada en el recipiente adaptado para suministrar selectivamente una mezcla de fluido a tratar a un lado de alimentación de cada una de las fibras huecas y un orificio de salida en el recipiente adaptado para separar selectivamente dicha mezcla de fluido desde dicho lado de alimentación de las fibras huecas y un orificio de permeación en el recipiente adaptado para separar selectivamente un producto sometido a permeación desde el lado opuesto de cada una de dichas fibras huecas, caracterizado porque al menos aproximadamente el 50% de las fibras huecas en el haz son fibras huecas rizadas que tienen una pluralidad de rizos, teniendo dichos rizos amplitudes de rizos de hasta aproximadamente50% del diámetro exterior de la fibra hueca y un período de rizo medios de menos de aproximadamente 5 centímetro en el que dicha fibra hueca semipermeable exhibe suficiente rigidez para retener la pluralidad de rizos durante las separaciones de fluido.
