Abstract

Nuevas composiciones de materia constituidos por derivados específicos de betaína a los que nos referiremos como "fosfobetaínas" y "fosfitaínas". Más especialmente, esta invención se refiere a nuevos agentes tensoactivos betaínicos, anfóteros y zwitteriónicos que contienen por lo menos un anión del fósforo en la molécula. Las betaínas y ciertas betaínas sustituidas son ya conocidas pero no se habían descrito ni sugerido las nuevas fosfobetaínas de la misma. Las fosfobetaínas de esta invención presentan notables propiedades de formación de espuma, intensificación de la viscosidad, humectación, limpieza, detergencia, antiestáticas y emulgentes y, por lo tanto, son útiles en aplicaciones industriales que requieren agentes tensoactivos de gran rendimiento. Los compuestos también son especies muy estables y son extraordinariamente bien tolerados por los tejidos humanos, es decir, la irritación ocular y la toxicidad oral que producen es excepcionalmente baja y, por lo tanto, son eminentemente adecuados y útiles como agentes tensoactivos en la composiciones para el aseo personal.
