Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación del éster cianometílico del ácido 4-(p- trifluorometilfenoxi)-alfa-fenoxi-propiónico de la fórmula I **fórmula** que constituye la materia activa en la composición de agentes herbicidas selectivos, particularmente para combatir malas hierbas monocotiledóneas en plantaciones de cultivo dicotiledóneas, caracterizado por hacerse reaccionar un haluro de ácido 4-(p-trifluorometil- fenoxi)-alfa-fenoxi-propiónico de la fórmula II **fórmula** en la que Hal representa cloro o bromo, en presencia de un aceptor básico de ácido, con cianometanol (nitrilo d ácido glicólico ) de la fórmula HO-CH2-CN
