Abstract

Procedimiento de realizar , por colada continua, piezas metálicas en bruto huecas, en el cual se vierte metal, en particular acero líquido, en un molde de sección circular, se enfría de manera continua la pared del molde, se efectúa una rotación del metal líquido en el molde con la ayuda de un conjunto de inductores electromagnéticos de baja frecuencia situados en o a nivel del molde y se extrae de manera continua el semi-elaborado o pieza en bruto por la parte inferior del molde, caracterizado porque se extrae el semi-elaborado en curso de solidificación por la parte inferior del molde según un trayecto curvo, porque se efectúa una rotación del metal en la parte central del semi-elaborado con la ayuda de un segundo conjunto de inductores electromagnéticos, con una frecuencia comprendida entre aproximadamente 50 Hz y aproximadamente 300 Hz, dispuestos en el trayecto curvo de colada sensiblemente a nivel del molde de dolada, y porque se secciona el semi-elaborado por encima de dicho segundoconjunto de inductores electromagnéticos.
