Abstract
Un procedimiento para la obtención de compuestos de N- fosfinilmetilglicina de la fórmula **fórmula** en donde M es hidrógeno o un catión y M1 es hidrógeno o un tión de metal alcalino, caracterizado porque comprende formar una mezcla de un compuesto de ácido N-fosfinilmetiliminodiacético de la fórmula **fórmula** en donde M y M1 son como se han definido anteriormente, con agua y un catalizador seleccionada de la clase que consiste de carbono activado que contiene de 300 a 700 partes por millón de hierro, rodio entre carbono activado y rodio sobre alúmina, mantener dicha mezcla a una temperatura de 15ºC a 45ºC y poner en contacto dicha mezcla con un gas que contiene oxígeno libre, con lo cual dicho ácido N-fosfinilmetiliminodiacético se oxida a dicha N-fosfinilmetilglicina.
