Abstract

The flasher control circuit for the vehicle has an astable multivibrator (14) and there is an RC circuit linked to a resistor chain (42, 44). The tapping to the chain is adjusted to compensate for temperature changes to achieve a set flashing rate. The flashing rate is accurately set, and if one or more lamps fails then the flashing rate is increased to a set higher level so as to warn the driver of the failure of the lamp.
