Abstract

Un método de preparar un copolímero de injerto, el cual método comprende proporcionar una mezcla de reacción de un caucho etilénicamente insaturado, natural o sintético, en estado sólido, con un prepolímero que tiene un grupo final reactivo para los grupos etilénicamente insaturados del caucho, y mantener la mezcla a una temperatura elevada, al menos igual a la temperatura de transición vítrea del prepolímero pero por debajo de la temperatura de descomposición del caucho, con mezcla íntima de los reaccionantes, con lo que las moléculas de prepolímero reaccionan con y quedan unidas al esqueleto de la molécula de caucho.
