Abstract

Procedimiento para producir acero al silicio electromagnético que tiene una orientación en cubos de canto, proceso que incluye las operaciones consistentes en: preparar un caldo de acero al silicio que contiene, en peso, hasta el 0,07% de carbono, de 0,015 a 0,24% de magnaneso, de 0,01 a 0,09% de material del grupo consistente en azufre y selenio, hasta el 0,008% de boro, hasta el 0,05% de aluminio, hasta el 0,0200% de nitrógeno, hasta el 1,0% de cobre y del 2,5 al 4,0% de silicio; laminar en frio dicho acero a un calibre final no superior a 0,508 mm., siendo laminado en frío dicho acero con no más de dos pasadas de laminación en frío separadas por un recocido intermedio; descarburar dicho acero; y recocer dicho acero a la textura final; el perfeccionamiento que comprende la operación consistente en colar dicho acero en forma de fleje que tiene un espesor de 3,81 a 25,4 mm.
