Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de un material en banda o chapa de acero al silicio de orientación cúbica centrada en las caras, que exhibirá una permeabilidad magnética superior a 1.850 a 796 A/m después de un recocido final a elevada temperatura en una atmósfera reductora, cuyo proceso comprende añadir un compuesto de boro a una lechada acuosa de magnesia; aplicar dicha lechada a las superficies del material; y sacar el revestimiento así aplicado antes de dicho recocido final; caracterizado porque el compuesto de boro se añade en una cantidad tal que proporcione un contenido total en boro del orden de 0.07 a 0,30%, basado en el peso de magnesia, en proporción inversa a la densidad aparente del revestimiento seco, para causar con ello la difusión de una cantidad uniforme de boro hacia el interior y a través del revestimiento de magnesia durante el recocido final, independientemente de la cantidad de boro volatilizado desde dicho revestimiento a la atmósfera de recocido.
