Abstract

Un procedimiento mejorado de preparación de anhídrido maleico, que comprende poner en contacto una mezcla de un compuesto orgánico insaturado seleccionado del grupo que consta de n-butilenos, 1,3-butadieno, aldehido crotónico y furano, y un gas que contiene oxígeno, con un catalizador, a una temperatura comprendida entre aproximadamente 0,07 y 35 kg/cm2, y en donde la proporción molar de oxígeno respecto al compuesto orgánico está comprendida entre 2:1 y 40:1, comprendiendo la mejora: usar como catalizador un catalizador un catalizador de fórmula AaEcMoeSbfOx en la que A es por lo menos un elemento seleccionado del grupo que consta de niobio, zirconio, titanio y tántalo; E es un miembro seleccionado del grupo que consta de hidrato de hidracina, un metal finamente dividido de molibdeno, wolframio, magnesio, aluminio o níquel; y en donde a es un número de 0,01 a 6; c es un número de 0 a 0,2 e y f son números de 1 a 9; x es un número que satisface los requisitos de valencia de los otros elementos presentes; y en donde por lo menos parte del molibdeno en el catalizador se mantiene en un estado de valencia inferior a +6; conteniendo facultativamente dicho catalizador uno o más elementos seleccionados del grupo que consta de litio, plata, cerio, cadmio, cobalto, arsénico, silicio, zinc, germanio, bismuto, rutenio, platino y uranio.
